Marwah Alaofi is a final-year PhD candidate at RMIT University, Australia, supervised by Professor Mark Sanderson, Professor Falk Scholer, and Paul Thomas. Her research focuses on user-centred approaches for Information Retrieval evaluation by creating query variants for test collections to better capture the spectrum of query formulations across diverse user demographics. She also investigates the recent paradigm shift of using LLM for relevance labelling, focusing on examining the reliability of LLM relevance labels. Through her PhD, she has published in major IR conferences including SIGIR, SIGIRAP, CHIIR, and TREC.
